Yesterday, I received my N97 screen protector from Clarivue.com. Although it took almost a week to get it,  they were one of the few online stores that have them in stock. I’ve used Clarivue before for my digital camera but not for a phone. I usually would prefer buying from BestSkinEver or Zagg (invisibleSHIELD), but they didn’t have it yet.

After installation, I was testing the responsiveness of the screen. As you can see at the end of the video (below), the screen is still pretty responsive. Although at certain areas of the screen, I felt that I had to apply a little bit more pressure to get it to select an item. But it didn’t bother me, it actually made the screen feel more solid due to the additional layer and thickness of the film. Overall very satisfied with this product.

Here is an overview video of the N97 available settings. I’m sure there are a lot more settings than the ones I’ve mentioned but these are the major ones. I thought that someone might be interested to see how customize the N97 can be and all the settings that are available. It’s nice to be able to customize almost everything on this phone to suit your need.

Here is a video demo of the Gravity twitter client for S60 v5 by n97blognet. It is probably the best twitter client for Nokia so far compared to Twittix and Tweets60 so far. This application is available to download at the Ovi store for both the N97 or 5800. It is the top selling app on Ovi. Check out the video and before you buy.

The N97 has been released for about a week now with tons of good reviews available. This phone is packed with many great features such as a full QWERTY keyboard, 32GB, microSD, touch screen, large battery, handwriting recognition. You name it, the N97 probably has it. But one of the most important feature is also the 5 Megapixel camera with auto exposure, auto focus, exposure compensation, flash, full screen viewfinder, self timer, and sequence mode. It also has a Carl Zeiss lens. It is a very good lens. Carl Zeiss AG has been making expensive and high-quality optical lenses for over 100 years.

There are 8+ Megapixel camera phone available but resolution has little to do with sharpness, and sharpness has very little to do with image quality. Resolution (pixel count) has nothing to do with picture quality. Color and tone are far more important.

Nokia has made it very easy for us to take excellent pictures or videos and upload them directly to Ovi Share or Facebook to share with your friends and family. This is why the N97 is perfect for everyday use.

Here are some test shots from nokiacreative.com, comparing the N97 to the N95 8GB. It very interesting to see that the N97 pictures are more vibrant and have better contrast than the N95.
