Nokia Ovi lifecasting available in betalabs. Share anything quickly and easily with Ovi lifecasting to Facebook. This looks like a very nice app but I think Social Messaging has a better interface for Facebook. You can download here.

N97 Firmware 2.0 Preview

Here is a video preview of the Firmware 2.0 coming in October. Major noticeable change is kinetic scrolling and more widgets. On home screen you can see vlingo widget. Where is skype?

Full Screen Gmail Java App

Follow theses instructions to turn the Google Gmail App to full screen on your N97.

First download and install Gmail Here.

Go to Settings > Application Manager > Installed Applications > Select Gmail > Options > Suite Settings > change “onscreen keyboard” to OFF. That’s all your Gmail should be full screen now.

SW Update: Install Before Phone Software 0.1

After reading this tweet from @clintonjeff, I checked my SW update and I do see this same “Install Before Phone Software 0.1″. I installed it OTA but I did not see any changes. Based on the description below, I wonder if this is preparing the N97 for a major update soon to come. Check your SW update and see if you have this update as well. Let me know if you know what this is for?

N97 Firmware Update v12.2.024 Available Now!!!

Great news a new N97 firmware v12.2.024 is now available for download. It shows up on your device SW update but it will direct you to use the Nokia Software Updater instead. I don’t know what this update contain except for the brief description below “Improves phone’s performance and brings you the latest features”. Only one way to find out. Report back on your findings. Thanks!
