Mippin homescreen widgets for N97
Mippin has released 4 homescreen widgets that you can download for the N97. I was only able to find NewsBuzz, one of the 4 widgets, at the Ovi store. Once you’ve downloaded NewsBuzz, there is an ad at the bottom of the widget that lets you download the other 3 one at a time. These widgets download the latest news and display a mobile friendly version on your phone. At the end of each news article there is a link that takes you to the full story by opening the web browser. Kinetic scrolling also works in these widgets. There are some settings available to change refresh rate (default is every 30 min), online/offline mode and content selection(see pictures below).
I really like these widgets but I do have one small complaint, instead of having 4 different widgets for each category (news, gossip, gaming and tech), there should just be one combined version that I can chose what news I want to read. Homescreen space is very limited and I do not want to open 4 widgets all for Mippin.
